Smile, Winter is coming

I'm more of a Summer guy, but Winter does have its rewards. Bulky sweaters, hot chocolate, bracing walks in the park, long scarves and warming fires... that does sound quite nice, right?

Here I've been indulging some of these Winter passions on the Onyx Isle sim, which is a sort of snowy wonderland with winding paths, a skating rink complete with hot chocolate stand and some great builds to thaw those winter chills.

Clothing and avi from Mens Dept - just a few days left in the November round - as well as some very nice gifts (see last pic).

Pop Music

It's always hard to get back to blogging when I've been away for a while because I spend so much time catching up on all the events/sales that are underway, but My Attic's particularly great February round (ends Feb 28) with its Pop Music theme brought the necessary inspiration to do a little playlist. The collection has awesome stuff for women as well as the very cool "MPop" pose prop from W.Winx that is texture change, completely moddable and lots of fun for doing photos. It paired up well with the Arcade video game piece, new from End of Daze.

The male avi features an excellent new release skin from Essences - nice to see them concentrating on the male side of things again - available in numerous tones and with various facial hair options. Hair is by Mr  C: designed for "lovers" it was released for Valentines and can be worn by women. Clothing is from Mens Dept and I especially love the cool leather look from Razorblade Jacket with texture change highlights on sale for 150l until Mar 1.

The female stuff shown includes items from various sale rooms (all of which will end soon so don't miss out) and two hunt gifts with very different looks that both come with appliers: paper.doll's dress from the I Love NY Hunt (14l, gifts shown here) and American Bazaar's top for HFYIS.

Rustic Spring

I've been a fan of Designer Prims builds for a while - I blogged their Back to Black home just last month - so it's great to see this excellent gift from the Make Home Over Hunt, which fits so well with the season.

The house features two large rooms fronted with glass and separated by a wading pool, pergola and small deck. As usual with Designer Prims the walls, floors, deck and accent walls are all texture change and there are a ton of options. I'll be doing more photos of this great build in the next few days so stay tuned.

Note as well that some of the clothes shown below are from the Boystown Easter Hunt that runs through the weekend. With only 7 stores and some very nice gifts it is well worth checking out.
