The Well-Dressed Man...

Every Mens Dept round makes me feel well-dressed and this one is no exception. From the amazing Just Cool jacket that can be modified right down to the buttons with the included hud, to the stylishly casual Etham sweater/shirt, which also has texture-change options for the T-shirt and scarf, Mens Dept should be your 1st stop every month for looking good (see my post here for more items from this round). Not to forget the Monso hair and Sorgo glasses - I think you know where to find them - which will add some rakish charm to any look.

My Windmill

My friend Shali Manx is one of the biggest Scarlet Creative fans on the grid. When she heard that Scarlet Creative was putting a windmill into Collabor88 at a discounted price she couldn't wait to buy it and start decorating with some of her favorite objects. This is the result and I think she did a fabulous job, both with the decorating and the photos, many of which are by her. I especially love how she has integrated the windmill into the rugged setting of her land, standing watch on a hill overlooking  the water down below.

The windmill is mesh (land impact 106 prims), fully mod and fits on a small lot. There are two main living areas at ground level and an upper room in the tower with access via a wooden ladder, which Shali has fitted out here as a bathroom. The build would function well as a guest home or even as an architectural feature in the landscape. A scale model can be seen at Collabor88 (not sure if a full-sized demo is available) where the windmill is on sale at 488l until the end of the month (more pictures can be seen on Scarlet Creative's website).

Bang A Drum

It's almost spring and love is in the air, or maybe not cause it doesn't feel like spring where I am. But with this endless winter drawing to a close it's time to make some noise - and that's what I'm doing thanks to Balaclava's cool drums that you can pick up at the Arcade (75l per play). For those who don't want to try their hand at the Arcade (or are afraid of blowing all their lindens), yard sales are a good alternative. The Energy Club has been making noise for three years now and to celebrate they have a mess of group gifts out. That's where I got this excellent mesh outfit from D-Style (matching gift for women) as well as the couch from End of Daze (2nd pic), which I previously blogged but now you can get it free. Go check out the club and grab some gifts while you are there.

Also making noise is LaVie. The skin here is a recent group gift (unfortunately no longer available), but I'm told LaVie has a number of projects in the works including new skin releases, group gifts and perhaps a hunt or two. They have recently reopened in a revamped urban style shopping area with a number of top shops. Good to see they are back and bustling again.

Lavender Encore + 2 more

I love Breno's chair from the Lavender hunt so much that it deserved an encore, don't you think? See Part 1 for more pictures from this hunt and gift previews/hints can also be found on the hunt website. 

My models are the same as last time. The female is a very nice combination of a shape from Shape It Up! found at the Free*Style store for just 10l and a gift skin from Deesse's. The male is the same Kirk skin recently released from Essences - it's so nice I haven't wanted to take it off- here combined with Step Inside's shape from the SYSP anniversary hunt.

I'm also showing two outfits from 22769 to round out the post. I don't know how they do it but their designs always look great on the blog. In La Flat (pt. 1)

Have you been to this month's edition of Collabor88? Lots of beautiful things for women there, and not a whole lot for men. But that's OK, because I was able to do a little home decorating. The furniture set below is by Trompe L'Oeil. It's mesh, comes in multiple colors and has a clean modern look. Best of all, mesh furniture can really help lower your prim count.
