Jazz Diva

Think Billie, think Lena, think Ella... the current Singer Icon fair led to thoughts of the real Diva's that paved the way for so many of today's icons. Their timeless style and grace and incredible talent continues to inspire and they shouldn't be forgotten. 

I've tried to recreate that jazz diva feeling with ArisAris's new exuberant dress and BSD Design Studio's surreal abstract shoes from Shoetopia. My look is completed with a new shape from Baholi (all of Baholi's shapes are divas!) plus the latest gift skin from Deeesses and hair from Ploom.

Belladonna

The belladonna is a dangerous plant, extremely poisonous in small doses. It's berries are attractive and sweet, but generally lethal. I'm not really dangerous, but I do quite like Immerse's mesh belladonna dress found at this month's Designer Showcase with it's dramatic flow and autumnal colors. The Shop

This is sort of a quickie post, but I wanted to show the Eiko dress, before the round changes at the Gallery Gift Shop. It has a great vintage look and pairs well with Miamai's Loroi hair and BSD Design Studio's Post Modernism shoes, which you can pick up at Fashion United.

The excellent shape here is again from Baholi and this one is close to my heart because it was named for yours truly (thanks Adriana!). Like all Baholi shapes, it has a great face and works well with both darker and lighter skins - I've paired it with a new release skin from Aeva that is now on sale at The Outlet. Baholi's Astrid shape is mod, includes multiple versions and is available all month at the She & Him event.

The build I'm using as a backdrop is from the Mad Pea hunt. I'll have more to say on it and some interior shots in a later post.

Drama Queens

American Bazaar has been coming out with great stuff all month, but my favorite are the cool retro tops and pin-up shorts combination from the latest edition of the Boobies Show. These outfits with their various color combinations and vintage vibe are perfect for your inner bad girl and are guaranteed to bring lots of attention as you wander around the grid starting drama (see the last pic for why).

The hair here from Tableau Vivant and MONS are both gifts from Hair Fair, which ends today (or maybe tomorrow, I'm so confused). In any case, if you haven't been, rush over there before it ends for the latest releases and some amazing free stuffs (see my recent post for the gift from MiaMai).

Safari Style

Some safari style today (and more to come in my next post) with two mesh outfit gifts from Mystic Tiger found at Hair Fair. Lavender Encore + 2 more

I love Breno's chair from the Lavender hunt so much that it deserved an encore, don't you think? See Part 1 for more pictures from this hunt and gift previews/hints can also be found on the hunt website. 

My models are the same as last time. The female is a very nice combination of a shape from Shape It Up! found at the Free*Style store for just 10l and a gift skin from Deesse's. The male is the same Kirk skin recently released from Essences - it's so nice I haven't wanted to take it off- here combined with Step Inside's shape from the SYSP anniversary hunt.

I'm also showing two outfits from 22769 to round out the post. I don't know how they do it but their designs always look great on the blog. The male shirt can be found at Mens Dept, where the March collection launched earlier this week. The female is on sale at Gallery Gift Shop for just a few more days. Have a nice weekend everyone!
