Little Warehouse Pt.2

Following up my previous post, here are a few more fashion shots and images of the decor I've used in Bauwerk's Little Warehouse skybox for this month's Challenge round.

Some general words on the build: it's Mesh (land impact of 44 prims) and features high ceilings, exposed ventilation ducting and monumental florescent style lighting that is fully and individually controllable via a central panel. Notably the intensity of each fixture can be set so you don't overpower the space with light, as is often the case. The build also makes use of large skylights and full length windows to bring quite a lot of natural light into the box. It works nicely as a lofty home/office space as I've done, but I can also see it being used in a role play setting.

The fashion here is again from this month's Mens Dept, + a new release from Apple May and a special thanks to the creators at (Red)Sand for providing their excellent Hooligan skin, which I'll undoubtedly show again. Oh, and all poses in this and my previous post from Saal Body. Thanks Alon!

Richmond

Mens Dept started its December round last week and as usual there are tons of great things both for your avi and home. I especially like the Nordic Sweaters from bleak, but the furniture is also outstanding, particularly the Nippon desk set and matching shelf from Kusshon, which includes some cool associated decor items.

The Frost shopping event also started today. American Bazaar is participating with some very nice new sweaters at a very low price. Go check it out...apparently there are some excellent deals to be had there.   

The sexy avi I'm showing here is a new release skin from (Red)Sand on a shape from Shape it up! (plus hair from Ink).

Finally, the build I'm using is the latest Mens Dept skybox from [Deco]. I'll have more shots of the build in a later post.

Monochrome

I always think about color when I plan my blog posts, which is why I was looking forward to the latest hunt from Monochrome Hunts. Silver Lining is the second in a series of color-themed hunts - this time the theme is silver - and there is a nice range of items to be had (I'm featuring the furniture from Pestique, Circa & Estatica). The gifts cost 5L, but are worth far more than that - check their blog for photos of most of the gifts.

Today is also the last day I think for the Black Event on the Wash Sim, where I picked up some excellent textures from Timeless Textures and Far Concepts for only 10l that fit well with the theme of the post.

Air

Dirty Little Secret has an excellent gift in the Something Old, Something New Hunt: a fully furnished, multi-level build called Air. Like its name, the house emphasizes the flow of light and air, with the use of skylight ceilings, glass walls, exterior staircases, multiple patio areas and draped fabrics. Air also features a water surround with trees, built-in wall storage in the bedroom/bathroom and the furniture is available as separates, so you can keep what you want (or use it in other builds). I've added some pieces from End of Daze that work well in the space. 

Tash Porthos of Dirty Little Secret is also celebrating the anniversary of her store with a ton of group gifts and the DLS group is free to join until the end of the month. Join her group for her latest Mesh gifts (and stay in it because Tash is always generous).
